Ian and Ross try two Cream Ales, one from Stillwell Brewing, and one from Saltbox Brewing Co, and notice that they both seemed to have gone in two different directions. We also argue about the “United” Kingdom and british claims.

Ross and Brittany try a few sour beers, including one we tried recently, but end up with the “Bad Pickup Limes” from Truro Brewing Co, and the Mango Dragonfruit sour from Garrison, but also re-visit the Cherry Sour from Lazy Bear Brewing.
We clean out the closet to try some lagers, 2 of which are from now discontinuing breweries, Serpent and Uncle Leo’s. The third comes from Boxing Rock, which is NOT discontinued, but we lament many of the losses we’ll experience from the first two.
Ian and Ross learn that you can combine a Dunkel and Weizen and you get… a dunkelweizen. Both Annapolis Brewingand Satlbox have one to try, Ross’ voice is still not at its best, but he makes up for by accidentally leaving Ian on mute for nearly 25 minutes. Choice professionalism right here.
Ian and Ross attempt try two Oatmeal stouts they’d been saving, but due to a can malfunction, there had to be a last-minute substitution. We drink the Big Poppa Oatmeal Stout from Candid Brewing, the Mocha Oatmeal Stout from Propeller, and the Muddy Big Stout from Wayfarer’s.
Ian and Ross decide to try a couple of IPAs based on recommendations. Breton’s Grapefruit IPA and North Brewing’s Malternate Reality, and are pleasantly surprised.
Ross goes solo to try two Pumpkin ales that didn’t make the table the previous week, Nine Locks’ Harvest Pumpkin Ale and Propeller’s Pumpkin Spiced Ale. He also finishes off a leftover Gravedigger from PEI.
Ian and Ross get into the seasonal pumpkin ales at the NSLC and fail to read the small print. We compare the Spiced Up from Breton Brewing, the ‘Oh My Gourd’ Pumpkin Ale from Garrison, and the ‘Gravedigger’ Pumpkin Ale from Upstreet, failing to notice that Upstreet is in PEI. Not Nova Scotia. In the end, however, we decide, “tis the season, something something, beer is beer.”
Ian and Ross try two stouts, the Wolf Hall Stout from Paddy’s Pub Brewery, and the Twinkle Pony Tiramisu Stout from North Brewing. This attempts to answer a very old, anecdotal question in my family… can a wolf beat up a pony?
Ross and Brittany get back to sours and try two Sour beers. The Sour Cherry (potentially kettle soured) from Lazy Bear Brewing and the Quench! Cherry Sour from Candid Brewing. Our son tries to become part of the show as well, which is why it’s a shorter episode this week.
